Could the way we live, and the way we design our modern societies be a cause of our depression? This book explores this question. We are living in a world that is more connected than ever with phones, apps, internet and social media. But we feel more disconnected from everyone else than ever. We have material abundance and wealth but still, we feel unhappy.

Could one of the reasons why we feel so disconnected be due to the fact that we feel so disconnect be that we each live our lives isolated in our homes, and we lost a sense of community?
Why we feel so disconnected from each other because a connection through social media, a message or the phone is not the same as real face to face connection and interaction?
Why we feel that our needs are unmet even though we have material abundance but that we have other needs that material things can not meet.

Could we design our communities better that it not only just make better financial sense through shared resources but also meets more of our psychological needs through shared experiences and more interaction and connection?

This excellent book is highly recommended. Read more here.
